Our 1 Samuel 16:7 Special Tree

We will put lights on it and it will be the most beautiful tree we have had since the one we decorated with wedding gift bows when Cindy was a wee Babe.

Nancy Murphy's Baptism

Nancy McClure was baptised Saturday, November 20,2009. She is amazing. She comes to class with the lesson read and underlined. She is hungry to learn about the gospel.
Dad said a prayer and I spoke about the Holy Ghost. Elder Bailey is on the left, and Elder Leatham is on the right.

November Zone Conference

Elder Bigler(above) and Elder Campbell (below) both help in the Office on Wed. afternoon and Thursdays.

Zone Conference is so inspiring! We practice teaching skills, learn doctrine, hear talks, and receive important mission information. We learned that both social conversion (feeling a part of the ward family), and spiritual conversion (doctrine), are vital to a successul transition into the ward family after baptism. Here are a few behind the scenes shots. The ones in the kitchen are of the Hazelton's who cook lunch for us every JSM Zone Conference. The others are after the conference when missionaries are picking up supplies etc.

This old tree by our office is so beautiful in the summer and even more lovely in the fall.

I can't quit taking pictures. This tree looks different throughout the day and with the changing light.

Notice the reflection of the colored leaves in the water and of course, the little ducks.

Elder Bigler & Elder Campbell , Our Office Elders

These Elders not only make our day brighter, they save the day!

Temple Trip Boston Temple October

One of our sweetest experiences is attending the temple with the departing missionaries. After the temple, we have dinner with President & Sister Jensen, how sweet is our mission!

This is a real and a very spooky looking cemetary. I think this cemetary inspires me to say, These woods are spooky dark and deep.....

If you have arachnophobia, don't look at this Halloween sight. Click on the picture if you dare..

Wild, More wandering wild turkeys!

We saw these turkeys cross the street and Dad stopped so we could get a picture. They stood up nice and straight and posed for a moment. Then they must have been leary about Thanksgiving being so near and they headed back into the woods again.
Click on the picture for a close up view.

Girls Day Out

Sister Hill needed a coat. One thing lead to another, which just lead to more fun shopping. Sister Hill and Sister Brown sure got some tithing blessings this time.

House Watching

We love the old houses here. Some are like mansions, and some have joined the carriage houses or barns of years gone by to their living spaces now. They don't "tear down" here. They just change and add on. Here are a few examples.

Speaking of house watching, What a blessing it is to have our neighbors, Kay and Ron Reynolds, Ashley and Charolette, keep an eye on our house (and our kids) while we are on a mission. Ron & Kay have always been ready to help with whatever and whoever at a moment's notice. We were blessed when they became our neighbors!

Boston Temple at Dusk

Temple Spires

The silhouette of temple spires
Against evening’s fading face
Beckons to my longing soul
To join the quest for holiness
To lift mine eyes unto the Lord
In this holy place.
